What is the difference between stainless steel, bronze, and copper scouring pads? Best uses for each?
Stainless steel will not rust and copper is sure to rust but is much softer. However, bronze is a combination of about 90% stainless steel and 10% copper. For some reason this makes bronze especially hard. I would use stainless steel (such as steel wool) for cleaning rust off metal. I would use copper for non-stick pots and pans. I would use bronze for stone sculptors...
