Help with interior paint colors...?
I want to paint every room, but I'm on a tight (college) budget. Standard 2 bed apt; rent, not own. All wood (trim, furniture and cabinets) is dark brown. The apt. is about 15 years old and I just want to cozy it up. Living room - light beige couch, light maroon curtains. Kitchen - all white besides a neutral color tile on floor and brown cabinets. Upstairs - All white w/brown trim. Baths - White sinks, neutral tile on floor, and muddy green color shower tile. I can figure out the accessories, I'm just interested in paint color suggestions. It's just my boyfriend and I in the house, and we plan on staying for a few years, so I'd like to make it a little more cozy.
I used a light cocoa in my living room and it's pretty neutral but far from white. If that looks too dark, take it a few shades lighter... Look at Eddie Bauer, Home paint colors.. I used Almond Oil EB46-4 in my living room, but you could go lighter with Alabaster EB2-4 if you think
the Almond Oil is too dark for you.
For the kitchen, you could use the Alabaster, or else Pear EB14-3 or find a shade a bit more yellow and sunny...
In the baths, maybe Seamist EB10-4 might appeal to you. It's a pale green that blends well with other greens.
