I have a 4ft by 7ft kitchen island with a granite tile countertop if i wanted to cut it down how do i do this?
At first I was just going to see how to cut out so I can add seating but then thought might as well see if it was possible to make island smaller with seating. I would like to make it a 3ft by 6 ft island with seating. Any ideas how to do this? Is there anyway to remove rows of tile already installed without cracking the other tiles.? Any help is appreciated 
They do make a masonary saw that will do the trick, BUT if you are not familiar with using it, you stand a very good chance at cracking or breaking tiles.
Save some headaches and worries, hire a professional to cut this down to the size you want. When you enter into the contract with the professional, make sure that there is something stating he guarantees his work.
