Garage Tiles Interlocking

Garage floor covering ideas?
Place - S. California
I would like to finish off my garage floor. I cannot use epoxy because the builder did not down put a vapor barrier. The moisture would come right up and destroy the coating.
I do not like the interlocking mats.
I am considering having inexpensive ceramic tile installed. What would be the pros and cons? Do you know anyone who did that?
Thank you all.
Sorry about the typo - not "down put" but should be "put down."
I've used UGL oil paint, 2 coats on my garage floor 10 years ago and still it looks great!
I found out about UGL concrete paint from Consumer Reports who actually tested it.
I even used the UGL Latex pain on my basement walls and floor and brother it's much cooler down there, with no moisture.
Consumer Reports showed in their testing that not a single drop of moisture gets through with UGL paint.
I applied mine with a long handled fine brush roller.
