Echo-proofing music room help?
the room where my drum set is (and my friends' amps when they come over) is rather small, as we get a lot of echo when we play. Its in my basement, so we do have tiled ceiling, not sure if they are acoustic tiles or whatever, the stuff that dampens sound. carpet, so i guess that helps a little. The main problem is the walls. painted drywall and the glass doors. We have 3310.92 square feet of drywall/glass doors. I, personally was thinking of just buying 3400 sqft of some sound absorbing fabric or something and just hang it on the walls. I haven't yet factored in cost, and i have a feeling that this could be expensive. any ideas?
a sound baffle. however that may be more money than you may want to spend. if you are looking for a cheap way. adding somesort of cloth hanging down and adding some objects that will absorb than sound will do the trick.
