How can I write on my Guitar without it smearing off?
So I'm most likely going to be moving, but before I move, I would like to have all of my friends sign one of my guitars
My problem is that I'm trying to come up with ideas as to how to achieve this without it smearing or whiping off. I am unsure as to what guitar I am going to use, but I am either going to do it on my ibanez GAX70 (a black electric guitar), or my Ventura Bruno steel string (normal steel string w/ a glossy coat like most).
I have a few ideas but i would like to get some fresh opinions, so just throw out some ideas on how i can get this to work.

You can use a white or yellow paint stick that they use for sending packages. It looks like a very fat crayon only it is paint you cut just a little bit of the top of it off and then use it like a crayon to write with A stationary store or a hardware store should have them
It is a paint and will stick to the surface of you guitar.
We used them in the Navy in boot camp to write on out Navy manuals. It's still on there after all these years. It is called a ( paint stick.)
